3º E.P. – St. Patrick’s Day

We have learnt a lot of things about St. Patrick’s history watching a video about his life.

Did you know that…?

* He wasn’t Irish. He was born in England.

* His name was very, very strange.

* He was captured by pirates when he was a child.

* Pirates sold him as a slave in Ireland.

* His new name was “Pig boy”.

* After six years living in Ireland, he ran away and he came back to England.

* He had a dream: Irish people asked him to go back to Ireland and tell them about God.

* He became a bishop.

* He loved Ireland and Irish people.

* He died at the age of seventy-three.

* He died on 17th March, 416.

* As he died on 17th March, Irish people celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day every 17th March.
